Welcome to my new look, updated website.
I carve stone as a hobby in the Seaside town of Heysham, ((Morecambe), in Lancashire, U.K.
I always carve in the traditional way by hand using a dummy mallet and chisel.
I don't usually plan and draw out a design prior to carving, working more directly after 'seeing' the image in the stone, as if it was already there just waiting to be exposed.
The thumbnail images above show the progression from my first carving number 1, to my latest, number 10.
